Texas Water Network Explorer Access Request Form

Sam Houston State University Institute for Homeland Security (SHSU IHS) and Texas Water Foundation (TWF) developed the Texas Water Network Explorer (TWNet) tool utilizing data available from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) Water Use Survey on Public Water System (PWS) intakes, sales, and retail water information.

The tool interprets relational data to depict interdependencies and flows, while pairing this with contextual data. As a user, I understand that the Water Use Survey relies on self-reported data as required by TWDB, which may be subject to biases such as estimation errors, underreporting, or inconsistencies in reporting methodologies.
